Tissue arrays, or tissue microarrays (TMAs), may contain hundreds of samples on a single slide. TMAs enable researchers to make the best use of tissue specimens while increasing throughput and improving accuracy, reproducibility, and statistical data.

Folio’s tissue standardization process provides consistent results from slide to slide. All TMAs have a prolonged shelf life and support a wide range of scientific applications. A board certified pathologist verifies each tissue used in the arrays. Pathology is reviewed every 10th slide to ensure accuracy.

Costing on average $2-$3 per case, Folio carries a variety of TMAs representing normal human and most major cancer tissue slides. All TMAs include a slide layout and tissue pathology information including age, sex, diagnosis and the location of each sample positioned on the slide.
