The Federal Government is going to release the criteria and application for “Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Projects” or “QTDP” on Friday, March 21, 2010.
The QTDP credit is offering one billion dollars to businesses with fewer than 250 employees who are working on a product, process or therapy that will diagnose, treat or prevent a disease.
The credit will provide you with up to 50% of what you spent on these projects. The QTDP is for expenditures made in 2009 and 2010.
The money will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, so it is to your advantage to get the information together and apply early.
