Folio sponsors a water project
Everything in the world seems to be in chaos lately. It's quite unsettling. It's in these moments of chaos where we try to look at what it is we can control: what we can do to make something, anything better.
With the goal of helping the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time, Folio is going to sponsor a water project. By donating $5,000 we can provide safe, clean drinking water to an entire village. When you purchase a service from Folio, a portion of that sale will be donated to charity: water. charity: water is a non-profit that brings water to underdeveloped countries. 100% of the money raised by charity: water goes to projects that bring reliable clean drinking water to schools, communities, clinics and hospitals. As of 2010, charity: water has funded 3,811 projects.
The money will be used for direct costs associated with the water project such as:
• Cement
• Pipes
• Taps or Pump Heads
• Gas for trucks/drill rigs
• Salaries for drill workers
• Hygiene Training
